Hi Mike.
Well I haven’t heard the word slumping in a while but that is part of the reason that people loose some of their height. However, standing up straight will not generally bring back all of the height lost because as the spine loses its stability, it begins to deform. That is the principle that I treat my patients with most often. So can chiropractic adjustment cure this phenomenon? The adjustments can help immensely but more is needed. This I the reason that I practice physiotherapy and rehabilitation for my patients. I want my patients to get better faster and stay better in the long rung without needing adjustments week after week. I do not subscribe to the same philosophy that most chiropractors do in that I want you to get adjusted the same way week after week to prevent future problems. There is a better way! This is what I do for my patients. In fact, my exams are based on medical necessity and follow orthopaedic principles. The reason is that I give treatment that addresses the actual problem with therapies designed to work together to reduce the problem and strengthen the area so that it doesn’t return. Don’t get me wrong, adjustments are a very powerful means to reduce a subluxation. However, I also treat spinal instability, pulled muscles, sprained joints, pinched nerves, sciatica, shoulder pain, ankle pain as well as hip and knee pain so more is required to treat these problems. Therefore, I provide a comprehensive means to bring back your height that will last. You can visit my web site for more info or just call for a free consultation.
Remember to walk tall.
Thanks,
Dr Bob
