Dr. Bob–
Ever treat anyone that has colitis? I’m a 45 y.o. woman who was recently diagnosed, after years and years of suffering. I don’t want to take medication. What should I do?
thank you,
sincerely,

Hi Annette.
Colitis is an autoimmune disease. That means that your body has decided to attack itself. So the medical doctors basically try to shut down your immune system. Not a good idea if you want to be healthy in the future. So what can be done. Basically the idea behind colitis and crohns is that foreign particles of food from an improper digestive system have been allowed to cross the intestinal wall unchecked which wakes up the immune system. If one of these particles has a similar surface as your gut…well your immune system attacks you because of the foreign particle with a similar surface. The surface is how the immune system identifies things in your body. This is not a genetic disease or you would have it from birth. This is an aquired disease do to improper digestion and immune system activation. So what can be done?
I have many prescribed protocols that will begin to normalize the gut and allow healing to take place. It is of utmost importance to stop the gut from leaking anymore particles and potentially causing more autoimmune problems. Both ulcerative colitis and crohns disease are unpleasant but ulcerative colitis can be serious if it is allowed to progress. I would suggest that you give the office a call and I will provide you with a free consultation so that you can have the opportunity to evaluate our office and ask about the supplement protocols. I look forward to helping you live a better healthy life.
Dr Bob.
